"Normal people" could learn a thing or two from geeks and nerds—especially when it comes to getting along despite having nothing in common. Take Star Trek fans and Star Wars fans, for example. These are two wildly different fandoms—one is space fantasy, the other is hard sci-fi, one is fast-paced action, the other is deep space politics—and yet, they coexist peacefully. Sure, they throw a few playful jabs at each other, but there's no actual animosity.

Now, compare that to sports fans. Put two rival football clubs (American football or regular football) in the same stadium, and there's a real chance fists will start flying. Star Wars fans, on the other hand, would never fight Trekkies. No, Star Wars fans only fight each other—which is weird, but hey, that's our thing.

At the end of the day, most geeks and nerds stick together, no matter what fandom we belong to. Whether you're into superheroes, anime, sci-fi, fantasy, video games, or something even nerdier, there's always room in the geekdom for everyone.
